Sign Up for Emergency Alert System

It’s Emergency Preparedness Week and residents of Charlottetown are encouraged to take a few minutes this week to sign up for the Charlottetown Alert System. This free system provides alerts about emergencies, such as evacuations. Optional alerts are also available through the system, such as planned traffic advisories.

The Charlottetown Alert System is subscription based, so citizens must opt-in to the system to receive the alerts. Those who subscribe can chose how to receive alerts such as through home, mobile, or business phones, email, or SMS (text message). Standard message rates from your carrier may apply.

Sign up any time for this free service by visiting: www.charlottetown.ca and clicking on ‘Alert System’ under the Resident Services section. (Direct link: https://member.everbridge.net/index/892807736726276#/signup)
