City Updates Transit Pilot

City Updates Transit Pilot to Better Serve East Royalty
Posted on 10/03/2019
The City of Charlottetown, in partnership with T3 Transit, has made some updates to the East Royalty Transit Service Pilot to better suit the needs of users.

The pilot service began on Monday June 3, and the updated schedule will come into effect on October 4.

As a result of the pilot program 18 convenient new stops have been added throughout East Royalty, with service running from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The service will connect East Royalty residents to the Charlottetown Mall and downtown at the Confederation Centre.

The updated pilot will include two morning and two afternoon runs each day to accommodate regular day-time working hours but will no longer include three mid-day runs as originally designed. The pilot will run an additional three months from the original term length of six months in order to allow more time for riders to try out the service as part of their regular commute.

The pilot program will run until early March 2020 and will then be evaluated as a long-term consideration.
