A traffic advisory has been issued with the following impacts expected for Sunday, July 12:

• In order to accommodate the Downtown Charlottetown Farmers’ Market, Queen Street will be closed between Grafton Street and Sydney Street every Sunday (beginning July 12 through to September 27) from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be no parking in this designated area on Queen Street between 3 a.m. and 5 p.m. every Sunday. During the same timeframe, Richmond Street will be closed from Pownal Street to Queen Street. Any vehicles left inside the event zone will be towed at the owner’s expense. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes during the market and reduce speed when travelling in areas with increased pedestrian traffic. The Downtown Charlottetown Farmers’ Market is open to the public on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is reminded to practice physical distancing and wear a mask when distancing is not possible. A traffic advisory has been issued with the following impacts expected for Monday July 13, 2020:

• Starting Monday, July 13th at 6:30 a.m., Royalty road, between Upton Road and Alderwood Drive will be reduced to one lane traffic. Traffic will be stop and go. Sidewalks within the construction area are also closed and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes. This closure is necessary for the Water and Sewer Utility to install services. This lane closure will remain in effect from Monday, July 13- Friday, July 17th.

• Sidewalk and Curbing work is scheduled to take place in the following areas (for the week of July 13 - 17):
o Pownal Street, between Kent Street and Dorchester Street;
o Oak Drive, between Brackley Point Road and Maple Avenue;
o Enman Cresent, between Raiders Road and University Avenue.

• Pavement milling/paving is scheduled to take place in the following areas (for the week of July 13 -17)
o St. Peter’s Road, between St. Pius X Ave and Fair Isle Ford will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic for the day.
o Juniper Drive, between Maple Avenue and Cedar Avenue will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic.
o Rose Moore Court, off Goodwill Avenue will be closed for milling work.
o John Street, off Gerald Street will be closed for milling work.
Motorist are advised to seek alternate routes. Sidewalks in the area will remain open and traffic control personal will be on site.

• Street line painting will take place between approximately 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. at the intersection of Euston Street and Hillsborough Street. Single lane closures and minor delays should be expected, but traffic flow should be maintained.

• Kent Street, between Great George Street and Prince Street, will be reduced to one lane traffic. Sidewalks within the construction area are also impacted and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes. This closure is for construction related to the Fitzroy Parkade expansion. At this time, the parkade is closed until further notice. This lane closure will remain in effect until the completion of the project, which is anticipated to be mid-August.
