City Hosts Gardening in Small Spaces Workshop

The City of Charlottetown’s will be offering a workshop later this month, called Gardening in Small Places.

This FREE workshop is designed to provide practical and educational information on growing food and pollinator plants in small spaces such as balconies and containers. The workshop will be led by Jessika Corkum-Gorrill, Forest and Environmental Officer with the City of Charlottetown. Jessika has a passion for environmental conservation, native plants and growing food in urban areas. The workshop will involve the planting of one of the community vegetable planters at Victoria Park.

Those who attend the workshop will be eligible to enter to win a garden-lovers prize package.

The workshop will be held at the Victoria Park Ball Field Clubhouse on Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Pre-registration is required, as the event has a capacity of 18 people, to meet guidelines for outdoor gatherings.
