Don’t miss the City of Charlottetown’s 164th birthday celebrations! Natal Day events take place all weekend, including the traditional Natal Day Parade and church service, Afternoon Fun in the Park and much more.

The traditional Natal Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday, August 4 at the Kent Street Fire Station. Mayor Philip Brown, members of City Council, the Fire Department and Police Services, as well as military units will parade along Queen, Grafton, and Prince Streets, concluding at Trinity United Church at 10:20 a.m. for the Natal Day church service.

The birthday celebrations continue with the open air Downtown Farmers’ Market, including more than 70 vendors, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Island’s first vegan block party – Veg on the Block presented by VegPEI – will take place at Confederation Landing and include delicious vegan food, activities and music from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Afternoon Fun in the Park takes place from 1 to 4 p.m., and includes performances by Silly Robbie; birthday cupcakes; airbrush tattoos and balloon twisting; guided nature tours; inflatables; a visit by Island Hill Farm; games with our Parks and Recreation programming staff; and complimentary hotdogs and ice cream (while supplies last).
