City Announces 2019 Micro-Grant Program
Posted on 03/18/2019
The City of Charlottetown's Environment and Sustainability Committee is now accepting applications for the 2019 Micro-Grant Program.

The Community Sustainability Micro-grant Program was developed in 2011 in order to support community groups and individuals in their sustainability-focused projects. Community action was seen as an integral part of the success of the implementation of the City's Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP).

The Community Micro-Grant program offers small scale grants to community groups and individuals that are planning an event or project which works towards the goals and actions of the City's ICSP. Eligible projects can be from a broad range of focus areas, must engage the community in sustainability and relate to one or more of the four pillars of sustainability; environmental, economic, cultural and social.

Eligible applications will be reviewed by a selection committee whose members will consider the potential positive impact on the community, the projects feasibility, and how it contributes to the overarching goal of becoming a more sustainable community. The applications that are selected by the committee will receive grants of up to a maximum of $2,500 and must complete their project in Charlottetown in 2019.

The deadline to submit an application is 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23. For more information on the Micro-Grant Program or to complete the application online, visit:
