City Launches Transit Pilot

City Launches Transit Pilot to Improve Service in East Royalty
Posted on 05/31/2019
The City of Charlottetown, in partnership with T3 Transit, has launched an expanded route to include unserviced areas of East Royalty.

Earlier this month, the City held public meetings to gather feedback from residents on the proposed route. The expanded route will be in effect beginning on Monday morning, June 3. Through the pilot program, 18 convenient new stops have been added throughout East Royalty, with service running from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The pilot will include two morning and two afternoon runs each day to accommodate regular day-time working hours as well as three mid-day runs to serve a variety of transit users. The service will connect East Royalty residents to the Charlottetown Mall and downtown at the Confederation Centre.

The pilot program will run for approximately six months and will then be evaluated as a long-term consideration.

Visit T3 Transit for full schedule with the new stops, as well as pickup/drop off times.
