Posted on 04/26/2019
The City of Charlottetown encourages the public to take part in the Steps for Life event, a 5-kilometre walk in support of families affected by life-altering workplace injuries, illnesses and deaths. The walk takes place on Saturday, May 4 at the Queen Charlotte Armouries at the corner of Water and Haviland streets. Registration opens at 9 a.m. and the event starts at 10 a.m. A BBQ will follow the walk.

This event is a unique way to learn more about the devastating ripple effects of a workplace tragedy and how everyone can work together to prevent others from being injured or killed on the job.

The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life, is a national Canadian registered charity dedicated to supporting families along their journey of healing who have suffered from a workplace tragedy. The Steps for Life event is in support of this charity.
