The City of Charlottetown’s Planning and Heritage Department is moving to a new location – 70 Kent Street. The transition to the new office will begin at approximately 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, October 8 and continue Friday, October 9. Those needing assistance on Thursday or Friday are asked to call 902-629-4158 rather than visiting the department.

The Planning and Heritage Department is moving from 233 Queen Street to the main level of the former MacPherson Roche Smith building, located on the corner of Pownal Street and Kent Street (across from the Rodd Charlottetown). The public-facing reception area will be located through the door closest to Pownal Street.

The Planning and Heritage Department will be closed to the public at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 8 and all-day Friday, October 9, and will officially open to the public at 70 Kent Street on Tuesday, October 13.

The public is asked for patience and understanding throughout the next week as equipment is being moved and staff are settling in. After October 13, the new Planning and Heritage office will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (except for statutory holidays).

During the move, the phone line to reach Planning and Heritage will remain active at 902-629-4158.
