Seasonal Water Restrictions Begin June 1

Seasonal Water Restrictions Begin June 1
Posted on 05/28/2019
The City of Charlottetown's Water and Sewer Utility Department reminds the public that seasonal water use restrictions will be in effect beginning June 1 and continue until September 30, 2019.

The City’s seasonal water restrictions are mandatory and allow for outdoor watering only in the early morning (between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m.) and evening hours (between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m.) to a maximum of two hours per day. The hosing off of driveways and other hard surfaces is prohibited under the seasonal restrictions.

The City asks that customers use water wisely, both indoors and outdoors, in order to preserve and protect water supplies. If conditions remain dry and the water extraction rates are high, the Utility will implement water shortage restrictions that are more stringent.
