The City of Charlottetown will celebrate its 164th birthday with Natal Day events taking place August 1 to 4. Join Mayor and Council at a seniors’ social, then dance the night away at the Natal Day community dance.

The Seniors’ Social – an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments – takes place from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Murphy’s Pharmacies Community Centre, 200 Richmond Street. Pre-arranged transit pickups to seniors’ homes will begin at 1 p.m.

At 9 p.m. until midnight, celebrate Natal Day at a community dance held at West Royalty Community Centre, 1 Kirkdale Road. The music will be provided by Phase II.

The jam-packed weekend of free Natal Day events also includes: a traditional Natal Day Parade and church service; the Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by Downtown Charlottetown Inc.; and VegPEI’s first vegan block party. The weekend wraps up with Afternoon Fun in the Park – children’s activities, birthday cupcakes and much more at Victoria Park.
