Traffic Advisory for Friday. October 8, 2021

A traffic advisory has been issued with the following traffic flow impacts expected for Friday, October 8, 2021:

• Sidewalk and curbing work is scheduled to take place in the following areas for (the week of October 4-8):
o Dorchester Street, between Pownal Street and Queen Street

• Pond Street, between University Avenue and Queen Street, will see temporary lane closures throughout the day for the remainder of the week. This is necessary for street reconstruction work to occur. Business-only traffic will be permitted. The Public Works Department apologizes for any inconvenience to the public.

• A portion of the sidewalk on Pownal Street, between Sydney Street and Dorchester Street sidewalks, will be closed to pedestrian traffic until mid-October. This closure is necessary for masonry work to take place in this area. Signage will be in place, and pedestrians are advised to use sidewalks on the opposite side of the road.

• Grafton Street, between Queen Street and Pownal Street, will be closed Friday morning to allow for milling to take place. Sidewalks will be open.

• Work continues on the new library on Queen Street, between Richmond Street and Sydney Street. This section of sidewalk remains open to pedestrian traffic with signage in place as this work is ongoing.
