Traffic Advisory: Wednesday, January 29

The following traffic advisory has been issued for Wednesday, January 29:

  • Motorists are advised that the Charlottetown Water and Sewer Utility is working on Water Street between Queen Street and Pownal Street this morning (Wednesday, January 29). The crew is checking for a potential water leak in the area. Traffic is permitted on a stop-and-go basis, but the work could cause delays and, depending on the outcome, may result in a road closure on Water Street. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

  • Pownal Street, between Dorchester and King streets, may be reduced to one-lane of alternating traffic as tree work takes place from approximately 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Sidewalks in the area may also be impacted as the work progresses. There will be no parking permitting in this section of Pownal Street. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

  • Prince Street, between Grafton and Richmond streets, may be reduced to one-lane of alternating traffic as the tree work takes place from approximately 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sidewalks in the area will be impacted as the work progresses. There will be no parking permitting in this section of Prince Street. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
