Trail Improvements in the Acadian Forest Park

Trail Improvements in the Acadian Forest Park in East Royalty
Posted on 10/16/2020
The City of Charlottetown is partnering with Cycle PEI, Provincial Trails, and volunteers to improve the forest trails in the Acadian Forest Park. The forested trail, which is available for public use, runs from the end of Greenwood Drive to the Acadian wooden bridge.

The trail restoration is primarily driven by volunteers. Repairs include adding material to improve drainage and removing brush and garbage. There will also be some certified chainsaw operators on-site to cut damaged trees. The trail renovation will start in the morning of Sunday, October 18.

Because of restrictions related to COVID-19, the organizers of this outdoor event are at capacity for volunteers, but anyone with questions about the cleanup initiative can contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 902-368-1025.
