Victoria Park Pathway/Park Driveway

Victoria Park Active Transportation Pathway and Park Driveway
Posted on 04/14/2020
A section of the Victoria Park Active Transportation Pathway (from Park Driveway to Terry Fox Drive) and Park Driveway (going into the tennis courts) will be temporarily closed today (Tuesday, April 14) to undertake necessary repairs to the historical lantern lights along Victoria Park Roadway. These repairs will involve cutting the asphalt at two locations (in the Active Transportation Pathway and Park Driveway) to replace the underground wiring. Work will begin this morning and it is expected to be completed by April 16.

The public can still access Park Roadway for one-way vehicular traffic and the remainder of the Active Transportation Pathway will be available for cycling and walking.

A section of the boardwalk from Brighton Road along the front of the pool and playground remains temporarily closed, due to a recent storm surge. While clean-up of this area has taken place, there is a section of the boardwalk that has moved, creating a void between the boardwalk and the curb. The City is in the process of assessing this section of the boardwalk in order to repair it as soon as possible.
