David ‘Eli’ MacEachern Annual Bursary Applications Now Open

The City of Charlottetown is now accepting applications for the 27th David ‘Eli’ MacEachern Annual Bursary. This $1,000 bursary is open to students graduating in spring 2024 from Charlottetown Rural High School, Colonel Gray High School or École François-Buote.

This bursary was established in 1997 to recognize Olympic gold medalist and Charlottetown resident David ‘Eli’ MacEachern. He, with hard work and dedication, achieved his longtime dream; being the best in the world.

Students interested in applying must be:
• Resident in Charlottetown, please include home address in application.
• Dedicated to excellence in sport during high school years.
• A competitor with honour, fairness, sportsmanship and appreciation of others.
• Passionate about life, learning and excellence.
• Continuing their education and development in their chosen field of sport.

To apply, students must send a short essay detailing how they meet the criteria and send along to: City of Charlottetown PO Box 98, Charlottetown, PE, C1A 7K2 Attention: Jackie McKinnon.
