The City of Charlottetown is advising residents living on Queen Street between Chestnut Street and Bayfield Street that due to a water main break between Douglas Street and Passmore Street, customers may experience a temporary disruption of water service.
This disruption of water service is expected to last most of the day on
Friday, June 28, however unforeseen circumstances may impact estimated timelines.
When service is restored, customers may experience temporary air and/or discolouration. The Water and Sewer Utility recommends flushing cold water through the bathtub until it runs clear.
Queen Street between Douglas Street and Passmore Street will remain closed to traffic for the remainder of the day.
The Water and Sewer Utility apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks the public for their patience and cooperation.
