Organizations eligible for nomination include non-profit organizations, public groups or service clubs, educational institutions, hospitals, government departments, unions, professional and trade associations, media organizations, public or private corporations and similar organizations located in the Capital City. Previous award recipients are not eligible.

The individual, group or business being nominated must fit the following criteria:

     • Has made an outstanding contribution to improving accessibility in one of the following areas: accessibility, arts, culture, commercial/retail, education, employment, housing/accommodation, recreation/entertainment or transportation.

     • Has improved accessibility for persons with agility, developmental/mental illness, hearing, mobility, seeing or speaking disabilities.

     • Has demonstrated a commitment to increase accessibility above and beyond what law or regulation requires.

     • Provided service for residents and visitors to the City of Charlottetown.

Nominations and self-nominations may be made by any citizen or group willing to provide evidence supporting the nominee's commitments and contributions. Any citizen or group wishing to re-submit or re-nominate an individual, group or business not selected for an award in a previous year may do so by completing an updated nomination form.
