Charlottetown has been recognized as one the top 20 locations to invest in Canada in 2024 by Site Selection Magazine’s Canada’s Best Locations 2024 ranking.
Site Selection Magazine has selected this year’s Canadian Competitiveness Awards and Canada’s Best Locations list based on cumulative and per-capita data for corporate projects, job creation, and capital investment. The Canada’s Best Locations 2024 list honours the top 20 regional and metro economic development organizations and their communities across Canada.

Charlottetown’s placement on the list reflects the ongoing efforts of the City’s Economic Growth and Attraction team and Innovation PEI to foster a dynamic business environment that attracts investment and drives economic prosperity across the region. Charlottetown is in demand, and continues to see strong population growth, the highest job growth of any Atlantic City in 2023 and is expected to reach a record $500 million in major project investment in 2024.
Inclusive Economic Growth is one of the four pillars of the City’s Strategic Plan, approved by Council in August 2022.
