The Community Micro-Grant program offers small scale grants up to $2,500 to community groups and individuals that are planning an event or project which works towards the goals and actions of the City's Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP).
The term sustainability covers a broad spectrum of project themes and as a result there are many different types of projects that are eligible for this micro-grant funding opportunity.
This year, the selection committee is particularly interested in projects that further the City’s efforts towards climate resilience, food security, supporting the arts, creating healthy communities, and making Charlottetown a more inclusive place to live.
Nevertheless, the City is always inspired by the creativity within our community, and we encourage residents to submit all projects that contribute to the City’s sustainability goals.
Eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal selection committee whose members will consider the potential positive impact on the community, the projects feasibility, and how it contributes to the overarching goal of becoming a more sustainable community. The applications that are selected by the committee will receive grants of up to a maximum of $2,500.
