Access to Information

The Municipal Government Act  provides the legislative framework for municipalities in Prince Edward Island to create and sustain safe, healthy, orderly and viable communities.

As per the MGA, the City of Charlottetown is in the process of developing a bylaw that provides for access to information in accordance with Division 5, Section 147 of the Act. This will include the procedures for making a formal Access to Information Request.

If you have a general inquiry, please contact 902-566-5548 or send an email.

Until the access to information bylaw is completed, if you are looking for information and cannot find it on our website, please let us know. All media inquiries and requests for information can be directed to our Communications team. When the bylaw and formal process for Access to Information Requests is developed, this section of the website will be updated.
