Charlottetown Police Services (CPS) officially added six new constables to the force and recognized several other officers through promotions and commendations at a City Hall ceremony today.

“It is my privilege to welcome our new members, congratulate those earning promotions and recognize officers whose exceptional contributions exemplify the very best of public service,” said Chief of Police Brad MacConnell. “Their dedication inspires us all and strengthens our collective commitment to serving our community.”

Joining the CPS team as new constables are: Ryan Ormond, Cory Burry, Kyle Arsenault, Jacob Schnarr, Kennedie Ogden and Ryan Beaton.

“These new constables are joining not just a profession, but a calling – to protect, serve and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” said Mayor Philip Brown. “We welcome them and wish them all the best as they embark on this important journey.”

The CPS also celebrated the promotions of four officers whose dedication and leadership have earned them new roles within the department: Sgt. Brian Donnelly, Sgt. Robert Larter, Cpl. Jana Vessey and Cpl. Michael Chaloner.
In addition, three members of the CPS were honoured with the prestigious Chief’s Commendation Award for their exceptional contributions: Tim Keizer, Terry Pauley and Pete Stay.

“Today, we celebrate not just individual achievements, but the collective strength and dedication of the Charlottetown Police Services,” said Julie McCabe, Chair of the Protective & Emergency Services Committee. “To every member of the team – thank you for your tireless efforts to safeguard our community. Congratulations to all being honoured today.”
