Farm Day in the City returns to downtown Charlottetown on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect from 2 a.m. until 9 p.m. in the following areas:

• Queen Street between Grafton Street and Water Street
• Richmond Street between Pownal Street and Great George Street
• Sydney Street between Pownal Street and Great George Street
• Dorchester Street between Queen Street and Pownal Street
• King Street between Great George Street and Queen Street

Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes during these hours and reduce speed when travelling in areas with increased pedestrian traffic.

Presented by the PEI Potato Growers, Farm Day in the City returns in its 14th year to celebrate all things local. Farmers, producers, restaurants, crafters, and artisans come together to celebrate the Island's “buy local” culture while uniting urban and rural communities. The centre of Charlottetown is transformed into the Island's largest open-air market and features music, children's entertainment, agricultural displays, a beer garden, a petting zoo and some good old-fashioned friendly competition.
