Posted on 01/03/2025
It’s time to lace up and bundle up as free public skating is back at the Founders’ Hall greenspace ice surface.

The rink will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10p.m. for recreational skating. As a reminder, all participants are required to wear a CSA approved helmet.

City staff will soon begin construction of rinks at Elmer MacFadyen Memorial Recreational Complex, Gordie Griffin Multi-Sport facility, West Royalty Community Centre Multi-Sport Facility, Mulberry Park Multi-Sport Facility and the Winsloe Lions Club Multi-Sport Facility, pending suitable weather conditions.

Please note that consistent temperatures of -6 degrees Celsius are ideal to build and maintain the outdoor rinks. The outdoor rinks will be maintained as long as weather conditions are suitable.

The status of the rinks is available online at to charlottetown.ca/winterrecreation and will be updated daily every Monday to Friday.
