The Public Works Department is responsible for the development, construction, maintenance of the city’s streets, stormwater infrastructure, sidewalks, traffic management, engineering services and municipal building maintenance and construction. The department also manages green spaces, coordinates special events, and oversees public parking. Key functions include administering infrastructure projects such as street rehabilitation, street resurfacing, sidewalk & multi use pathway construction, and traffic control management. Additionally, the department handles winter operations and beautification efforts, including street sweeping, mowing, and the maintenance of flower beds and planting.
