Traffic Notice
Prince Street will be closed between Water Street and Lobster on the Wharf, including the east gate of the CADC Peakes Wharf parking lot, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Residents will be granted access. The CADC Peakes Wharf parking lot will be accessible at the west gate entrance at Peakes Quay (Great George Street) after 3 p.m.
Barricades will be in place at the following intersections beginning at 6:30 p.m. to assist police with directing traffic from the event site:

Water Street at Great George Street (east side of the intersection.)

Water Street at Prince Street (west side of the intersection.)

Water Street at Hillsborough Street.
Additionally, parking will be prohibited on the following streets from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.:
Residents are encouraged to walk, cycle or take T3 Transit with their families to Capital New Year at Founders’ Hall & Market to reduce traffic congestion and avoid parking challenges.
Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling near the impacted areas and plan ahead as there will be traffic delays before, during and after the event. The public is reminded that Charlottetown Police will be ticketing and/or towing those not obeying traffic closures or parking restrictions.
