The City of Charlottetown invites the public to share their views on the future of land-use zoning in the city.
A review and update of the Zoning and Development Bylaw is currently underway. The updated bylaw will serve as the regulatory framework for land-use development in Charlottetown, introducing zoning categories and corresponding design guidelines. It will be informed and guided by the City’s Official Plan, which is currently pending approval.
Public consultation is a key component of the bylaw review and residents are encouraged to complete an
online survey that will help inform the update. The survey will remain open throughout the spring as staff continue to collect public feedback.
The intended changes to the bylaw will focus on increasing housing solutions and streamlining approval processes to reduce red tape associated with development approvals.
