The City of Charlottetown’s 2024/2025 annual draft capital and operational budgets are now being presented and discussed at the Council Committee level. City Council as a whole will debate and approve the final budget at a public meeting of Council in March.
The city is committed to an open and transparent budget process that reflects the needs and priorities of our community. Residents can access the meeting calendar for upcoming budget committee meetings and view agendas on the city’s website. All meetings are open to the public to attend in-person or watch via livestream on the city’s YouTube channel, and past meetings are archived on YouTube for future viewing.
The public are encouraged to keep an eye on the city’s Facebook and X (Twitter) for opportunities to participate in this year’s budget process, including an upcoming in-person open house where residents will be invited to provide feedback on the city’s draft budgets.
