City Partners with BGC Charlottetown for Touch a Truck Fundraiser

The City of Charlottetown is pleased to partner with BGC Charlottetown for the upcoming Touch a Truck fundraiser. This highly anticipated event offers a unique opportunity for children and families to explore a variety of large vehicles up close, including fire trucks, police cars, tractors and more. Money raised will go towards supporting local youth at the BGC Charlottetown.

Date: Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 (Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 6)

Location: Charlottetown Event Grounds, 360 Grafton St., Charlottetown

Time: 2 – 5 p.m.

Admission Fee: Voluntary donation (suggested amount: $5)

In addition to the impressive lineup of vehicles, the event will have a BBQ sponsored by the Parkdale Sherwood Lions Club, music and other activities, making it a fun-filled day for the entire community.

BGC Charlottetown, formerly known as the Boys and Girls Club of Charlottetown, is a vital community organization dedicated to empowering children and youth in Charlottetown. Through various programs and services, BGC Charlottetown provides a safe and supportive environment where young people can learn, grow, and develop essential life skills. Whether through after-school programs, summer camps, recreational activities, or mentorship opportunities, the organization is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
